Jobs in mobile application development, data center administration and basic and advanced workplace computing are just a few of the options available to NICC students. The estimated salary range for IT graduates is $29,411 - $120,972. An associate of applied science in IT can be completed in 73 credit hours, or 5 semesters, and can be started in the fall, spring or summer sessions.

Business and Web Programming

The program is designed to prepare students for a position as an application programmer, maintenance programmer, web designer or web developer, technical support person, microcomputer consultant, trainer, networking administrator or network person.

Networking Administration and Tech Support 

The Computer Analyst program offers two options: Business and Web Programming and Networking Administration and Tech Support. The program is designed to prepare students for a position as an application programmer, maintenance programmer, web designer or web developer, technical support person, microcomputer consultant, trainer, networking administrator or network support person.

Mobile Application 

The Mobile Application Development certificate is designed to provide individuals with no prior computer programming experience an entry-point into the field of application development for mobile devices. This certificate covers the basic fundamentals of developing applications to run on a variety of mobile devices. Upon completion, students will be able to develop applications for the Android and the iOS platforms.

Data Center Technician

The Data Center Technician certificate provides the training needed for future employment with data centers. The coursework meshes the skills of programming, networking, servers, storage and virtualization to create a complete picture of modern virtualized data center infrastructure. Information security is integrated and emphasized throughout the curriculum. Remote monitoring and management of devices is also implemented for performance graphing and alarming.
